So, who am I?
Somewhat of a philosophical question, I know.
As you might have figured by now, I’m not Jennifer Lopez but my name is Joana Lopes (fun fact, my dad is also a J.LO). I’m also not from the Bronx but Lisbon and I’ve chosen Manchester 🌧️ 🐝 as my home over a decade ago. I have also recently become officially a brit!
I’m a WCAG-Certified Product Designer with 10+ years of experience and I specialise in digital accessibility and inclusive design. I have a passion for solving complex user and brand problems across a very diverse set of industries and I’ve worked with names such as Adidas, Real Madrid, Manchester United, Volkswagen, Carlsberg, Amadeus, Asahi, Manchester City Council and many, many more.
In my free time I offer mentorship to other designers who want to learn more about Product and UX. I’ve been doing it for many years but have recently joined ADP list, so if you would like to book some time with me you can find me there. I was also the co-founder of Agora a non-profit organisation based in Hackney, London, so I’ve been busy!
Ah, nearly forgot, I also love plants and dogs → that’s my firstborn Lucy.
